This relaxed cosy setting is around an hour’s drive from Tumut, and only half an hour from the winter fun of Selwyn Snowfields. With Selwyn Snow Resort offering the only toboggan park in the NSW snowfields, and runs that suit skiers and boarders of all abilities, it’s the ideal winter escape.

Yarrangobilly Caves House 1901 East Wing has self-contained accommodation for up to 8 guests, while 1901 West Wing sleeps 6. Guests are invited to book both East & West Wings (subject to availability) for larger groups.  The 1917 section features two family suites, and king and queen rooms, with common kitchens, laundry and lounge rooms completing the facilities. Completely renovated in 2012, the 1917 section of Caves House was the winner of the National Trust 2013 Heritage Award for Conservation (Built Heritage Government and Corporate).

Guests are invited to explore the caves on self-guided walks or through guided tours.

Check whether special children’s activities, such as the WilderQuest Bug Hunt and WilderQuest Bake and Bushcraft, are running when you plan to visit. Discover the rich Aboriginal culture of the Wolgalu People through tours conducted by the traditional owners of the land. These run on selected dates during school holidays and can be booked via the Yarrangobilly Caves Visitor Centre.
