With quiet roads, wicked trails, cruisy paths and a variety of cycling options, we’re certain that if you like riding bikes, you will want to be here.
On the High Plains of Kosciuszko National Park, you’ll find trails perfect for horse riding, and unlike any others you’ll experience. Check out Ghost Gully and Old Snowy Campgrounds for more information, but be aware that there is no access to this area during the winter months.

Excellent water-skiing is available at Blowering and Talbingo Dams, and at Khancoban Pondage. Kayaking and canoeing are popular family pastimes on the Murray River at Jingellic, at Khancoban Pondage, and at Mannus Lake. The Tumut River and Goobarragandra River, are particularly suited to canoeing. The Tumut River is fast-flowing and cold and deserves respect but anyone can enjoy its beauty with a little tuition. Between the two rivers there are miles of flat water for those who want a leisurely drift down stream or some more challenging white water for the thrill seekers. Caving awaits you at Yarrangobilly Caves. Regular guided tours operate daily from the Visitors Centre, with a self-guided tour also available. Adventure Caving tours are also occasionally available – in caves not often open to the public. These adventures must be booked in advanced, and are not offered year-round.
