Welcome to the scenic Gilmore Valley, a place that is very popular for artists who come to paint the scenery. Beautiful clouds, sunsets and morning fogs off the Gilmore Creek. The campsite is a flat grassy area under Elm trees. There is no water or toilet facilities so you must be a self-contained camper with own amenities and supplies. Please take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Enjoy some good bicycle riding around the Valley (we have a 20km loop). Excellent trout fishing in Tumut and other rivers nearby. Good hunting (deer) in state forests around (Bago, Maragle, Green Hills, Mannis etc) located about 20km from Tumut. Great motorcycle riding all around the area too. This property is a very peaceful spot. Great for those wanting to be close to nature – but close to facilities.
